Hero Electronix, the electronics and technology venture of the Hero Group, is all set to launch new products in India on September 17. Sources close to the development told The Mobile Indian that the company is planning to launch IoT-based products during the launch event.
The company is planning to introduce AI-powered products and connected devices during the event. The sources further revealed that one of the products will be home security cameras. Hero Electronix is looking to launch products across home automation, automotive, health and entertainment segment.
To recall, the company showcased its IoT-based products during this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2019 in Las Vegas. The company partnered with the likes of Amazon and Qualcomm for its IoT-based products.
The company showcased an HD camera at the trade show that comes with artificial intelligence allowing users to remotely monitor. The camera comes with facial recognition and two-way audio, which will help users to stay connected with their loved ones. It also features night vision and motion alerts. It comes with in-built Alexa support, allow users to play music, control smart home devices and more.
The product is powered by the Qualcomm Vision Intelligence 100 platform, which comes optimised custom CPU and GPU designed for low-power on-device machine learning. The product also comes with a high-quality speaker that delivers high fidelity sound.
Hero Electronix in February this year opened a dedicated semiconductor chip design centre in Bengaluru. The centre has been set up by Tessolve, which it acquired in 2016. The centre is responsible for strengthening the company’s capabilities to provide end-to-end solutions and it is currently working with Tessilve to develop chip solution across different verticals.
