Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is the most popular Android smartphone in India, according to Antutu Benchmarking website. Interestingly it was the most popular Android smartphone in China as well as in Russia.
The Antutu report, released recently, had lists of Top 10 Android smartphones for many countries including China, Russia, Taiwan, US, India and other countries.
As per the list, in India, OnePlus 2 is the second most popular smartphone followed by LeEco Le1s, Oneplus (model name not specified), Lenovo K3 Note, Lenovo A7010, Moto X Play, Xiaomi Mi 4i, Samsung Galaxy J7 and Nexus 6P.
“India is basically the first landing point that Chinese brands launch and enlarge themselves overseas. The two companies which are MI and OnePlus pay great concern to the Indian market. MI chose to open the branch company in India directly while OnePlus have actively corporate with the Indian telecom operators, as a consequence, the products launched by these two companies have attracting a lot of attention by the Indian” Antutu wrote in the report.
Antutu also added, “It should be mentioned that, the Indian domestic brands are actually also very strong, the manufacture Micromax was used to learn the custom-built ROM model from the Chinese manufactures to launch the newly brand smart phone brand YU which is well welcomed in India. While cony estimates that Indian probably lacking the interest of mobile XPRT thus the submitted data from the Indian domestic mobile phone brand type is less.”
However, the “Top 10 popular smartphone of the world list” is dominated by Samsung. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is at the top in the list followed by Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S7, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, Meizu MX5, LG G3, LeEco 1S and Meizu Metal.
