Indian tablet manufacturer, HCL has silently introduced a tablet for kids. Named as HCL Me Champ, the tablet comes preloaded with educational content and related applications and is priced at Rs 7,399. The tablet is Snapdeal.com and is expected to hit the retail stores as well as other online stores soon.
The HCL Me Champ tablet comes with a 7 inch display with WVGA Resolution (800 x 480 pixels). The tablet has a 1 GHz processor, 1 GB RAM, 4 GB internal storage, and 32 GB Micro SD card slot.
The tablet comes with WiFi and you can also use a dongle (using its USB port) for internet. There is a 2 Megapixel fixed focus camera, capable of video recording, at the back of the tablet which has a VGA camera in its front for self-portraits and video chats as well.
HCL Me Champ is based on Android Jelly Bean 4.1 operating system that has been customised by HCL’s own custom user interface layered on top of it. The user interface has been designed keeping kids in mind and offers utility and ease of access for most tasks for the kids.
