Hathway, an Indian cable broadband provider has today announced its partnership with Netflix to provide the access of the streaming App through Hathway set-top box. The company has introduced a new set-top box with Netflix integration at an introductory price of Rs 2,999.
This is not the first time Netflix has partnered with a company in India. The streaming giant recently announced its partnership with Airtel, under which select Airtel postpaid and V-Fiber broadband customers will get a three month of free subscription of Netflix but sadly the service has still not be rolled out. As a part of the tie-up,Airtel users will get three months free subscription is over of Netflix andpost that monthly charges will start appearing inAirtel postpaid or home broadband bill.
Asfar as the partnership with Hathway is concerned, The set-top box will come with a remote that features a dedicated Netflix button, which will help users to launch the app with a click of the button. Further, subscribers will be able to pay for their Netflix subscription using their Hathway bill. All existing and new consumers, who subscribe to Netflix and pay through their Hathway bill for their subscription, will receive this box for free.
