Apple launched its Apple Arcade app subscription service on its App Store earlier this year. Now Google is testing its own version of the same which is expected to be labelled as Google Play Pass.
Images of the Google Play Pass subscription service has now been shared by Android Police, revealing what the service will offer and how much users will have to pay for the same. According to the screenshots, Play Pass will offer users access to hundreds of premium apps and games for a monthly fee of $4.99 (approx. Rs 350).
First-time users will get a 10-day free trial to Google Play Pass. Some premium titles available for download include games like Limbo, Marvel Pinball, 80 Days, Knights of the Old Republic, Hatoful Boyfriend, Threes and more.
There’s an informative page which will be available upon clicking the banner on the home screen of the Google Play (for select users). The page reads “Explore a curated catalogue spanning puzzle games to premium music apps and everything in between. With Google Play Pass you unlock access to hundreds of premium apps and games without ads, download fees or in-app purchases”.
Google has also confirmed that Play Pass is currently under testing phase. It remains to be seen if the service will be available in India upon launch.
