Hungry? And don’t know where to order? Don’t Worry. Google Search now lets you order food from Zomato. You can also choose a particular restaurant if it is listed on the food ordering website.
The search engine giant have revealed in a blog post that users in India can now find a new ‘Place an order’ option underneath the restaurant details. By tapping on to this option, user can choose to order either from Zomato or Swiggy whichever is listed. Once you choose an option, the search App will redirect you to the order page on that particular website.
Not only this, the search engine giant also partnered with apps like Dineout and BytPlus to allow users easily book tables from the Google Search app itself. This integration is not only restricted to Android. iOS users can also access the Google Search app from the Apple’s Appstore and can enjoy this intelligent integration from Google India.
“Not just this, the new feature will also help users plan their dine out a little easier too. User now can book a table at their favourite restaurant ahead of time. Google Search will direct users to partner sites to make their reservation,” read the blog post.
As of now, the integration has only been made to the Google Search app on the mobile but it won’t be long until we see it on the web as well.
‘Google Now’ from is a direct competition to ‘Siri’ from Apple but with recent impressive amendments of Google Now, the personal voice assistant has seen taking over Siri in terms of both popularity and usage. Even Apple users have admit that they use Google Now more than Siri and that it is more reliable.
Interestingly, this is not the first time that Google India has left its mark on the app. It was the team from Google India which made it possible to integrate Indian accent in the voice assistant program.
Also, we are quite aware about the extensive integration of flight details of airlines such as Air India, Jet Airways, Indigo etc. in to the Google Search App. Not only this, the recently started Olympics 2016 has also been impressively integrated into the app making it one of the most used apps for Rio Olympics 2016.
