Alleged renders of Google’s Pixel smartphone has surfaced online. Evan Blass, who is known for his accurate leaks, posted the pictures on his Twitter account.
There have been a lot of leaks and rumours about the Pixel duo smartphones up till now with numerous image leaks but this one, if we go about the tipster’s reputation, seems to be the legit final render image of the smaller Pixel device.
One might note that the earlier suspected button at the front is missing. Earlier this month, there was a leaked image render of the two devices with blurred front below the display which LED to an ambitious assumption that Google is up with something on that front panel. But that seemed to be a hoax or maybe it’s a sensor. We will have to wait another week for that as Google plans to release the two smartphones on October 4.
Additionally, there have been yet another render image leaks from China which seems to be the final render given the amount of detail and finish seen in the renders.
One of the most talked about leaks about the new Pixel smartphones is that Glass like panel at the back which surrounds the fingerprint scanner. It’s true that a glass panel would give better wireless signals but Google can’t go about placing these panels just for that. As per recent reports from Slash Gear, this panels might as well serve as touch pad. Touch pad for a new desktop mode which would run Android apps. This desktop mode or software will be called Andromeda.
Andromeda, what leaks suggest, is a code-name for a new OS which is essentially a combination of Android OS and Chrome OS. This new OS is likely to debut in Pixel 3 laptop which is likely to launch next year. So the Glass panels on the Pixel devices might be a future proof addition for this OS.
A 4K streaming capable Google’s Chromecast Ultra was also leaked today. Apart from this, Google is also likely to introduce a Wi-Fi router, Google Home and it might also unveil the next gen Android wear devices or Android TV but there haven’t been much rumours about it so far.
