Couple of days back, Google announced the launch of Pixel and Pixel XL in India. The devices are set to available for pre-order starting October 13 on Flipkart, along with over 1000 plus organized and multi-brand retail stores including Reliance Digital, Croma and Vijay sales. Now today we have found Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones listed on Flipkart with their prices. However, as of the the smartphones are listed as ‘Coming Soon’ on Flipkart. Both the smartphone comes in two colors – Quite Black and Very Silver, and come in storage variants of 32GB and 128GB.
The 32GB variant of Google Pixel is priced at Rs 57,000, while the 128GB Pixel variant one has to pay Rs 66,000. On the other hand the Google Pixel XL 32GB variant will be available at Rs 67,000 and 128GB variant will cost Rs 76,000.
The new Pixel devices will have unlimited Cloud Storage for Media such as Photos and Videos. Moreover, they will come pre-installed with Google Duo and Google Allo. Also, both the devices will be DayDream ready for Virtual Reality. Another addition which would be specific to Pixel devices is 24X7 live customer care feature with screen share option with customer service representative.
As far as tech specifications are concerned, both the Pixel and Pixel XL are identical and come with an aluminum unibody and a glass plate (Corning Gorilla Glass 4) at the back. Up front. The Pixel sports a 5 inch 1080p display and Pixel XL sports a 5.5 inch Quad HD display. Both the devices have high-definition AMOLED Display panels. On the inside, there is a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 Chipset with 2 cores clocked at 2.15GHz and 2 cores clocked at 1.6GHz. They have 4GB LPDDR4 RAM. Regarding the battery, it is 2770 mAh on Pixel and 3450 mAh on Pixel XL. Both the devices also house a Pixel imprint fingerprint sensor at the back which is surrounded by glass plate. And yes, they have 3.5mm Headphone jack in addition to USB Type-C with Quick Charge support.
For photography, both the devices come with 12.3 MP rear facing camera with 1.55 micron pixels size and f/2.0 aperture. Google boasted quite a few features about the new devices and one of them was the camera. The camera on the new Pixel devices received a rating of 89 from DXO Mark which is highest in any smartphone. The rear facing shooter also comes with features like HDR+ and improved stabilization. Of course the Pixel devices run on Android 7.1 Nougat and have the famous Pixel launcher that has round icons.
