Google has announced that it is bringing Pixel 3 eSIM support to India soon. The brand has also rolled out December security patch to its Pixel and Nexus lineup that fixes bugs and brings a host of other improvements.
Starting with the eSIM support first, Google has announced that Pixel 3 will get the support in the coming months. Airtel and Reliance Jio will be two operators that will provide eSIM support in the country. Apart from this, Sprint in the U.S., EE in the UK, and Truphone and Gigsky in various countries will also roll out eSIM support for Pixel 3 in the coming months.
Meanwhile, Google has also rolled out December security patch to its Pixel and Nexus lineup. The new update resolves the RAM management issue, which was reported by multiple Pixel 3 users. The update also brings improved camera performance to Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 lineup. The update also brings improved notification visibility and improved hotword performance when using Pixel Stand on Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.
The security patch also brings improvements in Always On Display and USB-C audio accessory detection. The update improves audio performance for when using Android Auto in certain vehicles coupled with improved contouring on HDR colour on certain media apps for Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.
To recall, the Pixel 3 with 64GB option is priced at Rs 71,000, while the 128GB variant is priced at Rs 80,000. Google Pixel 3 XL is priced at Rs 83,000 for the 64GB storage option and Rs 92,000 for the 128GB storage variant.
