Google Pixel 2 XL to sport a bezel-less 5.99-inch display: Report

The Pixel 2 XL will sport a 5.99-inch QHD OLED display and the smartphone will feature extremely slim bezels

Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL have been subjected to various leaks in the past and the latest reveals, the larger sibling will sport a bezel-less display, while the smaller sibling will feature a similar design language as we have seen in the previous Google Pixel.

According to a recent report, the Pixel 2 XL will sport a 5.99-inch QHD OLED display and the smartphone will feature extremely slim bezels on the side bezels and top and bottom bezels. This could be interesting as LG will be manufacturing the Pixel 2 XL and it might include its FullVision display, which is present in the LG G6 or in the upcoming LG V30 as well.

Coming to the Pixel 2, the phone is reported to sport a 4.97-inch Full OLED display and it will sport come equipped with bigger bezels, similar to what we have seen in the original Google Pixel. The report further mentions that both the smartphones will skip the traditional 3.5mm jack in favour of a USB port.

Previously, the smartphones were reported to be launched on October 5 and both of them will be powered by an upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 processor. The upcoming is reported to come with higher clock speed for both and as compared to Snapdragon 835. The chipset will be faster and will come with some battery improvements. One can also expect better quality photos with Qualcomm’s upcoming chipset.

Other than this, as per the FCC website, the Pixel 2 will be made by HTC, while the Pixel 2 XL will be manufactured by LG. The smaller Pixel 2 smartphone made by HTC will feature front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers along with the EdgeSense feature. On the other hand, the bigger variant by LG is expected to feature narrow bezels, similar to LG G6. Prior to the launch of the next Pixel phones, Google had slashed the prices of the Pixel and Pixel XL phones and is even giving away a Daydream headset for free.
