Mobile phone manufacturer Gionee, who has recently announced the launch of the Gionee Gpad G1 phablet for the Indian market a couple of weeks back, is ready with yet another phablet which it will launch next month. Called the Gionee Gpad G2, this new phablet will again be a 5 inch display based device but with a faster quad core processor and an IPS display.
Arvind Vohra, director, Gionee Mobiles India, confirmed to The Mobile Indian that the Gionee Gpad G2 will be launching in the Indian market in the coming month and the device will be priced below Rs 15,000. Although the final pricing has not been release we expect the device to be priced between 13,500 to Rs 14,000 price range.
The Gionee Gpad G2 will feature a 5 inch LCD display built using IPS technology with a 960 x 540 pixel resolution and will feature a scratch resistant surface. The Gionee Gpad G2 will come with a Mediatek branded quad core processor running at 1.2 GHz on Google Android Jelly Bean operating system.
The new phablet will feature 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. The storage can also be further increased with the use of Micro SD cards for up to 32 GB additional.
Beside, the Gionee Gpad G2 will have dual SIM connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Micro USB port and a 3.5mm jack. There will be an 8 Megapixel auto focus camera at the back and a capable camera at the front as well.
Like the Gionee Gpad G1, the Gpad G2 likely to come with free bundled accessories including a cover, scratch guard and an 8 GB memory card.
