Gionee is all set to unveil its new smartphone, dubbed as Gionee Elife S6 at an event to be held on November 16th. An invite for the event has been spotted on the Chinese social networking site ‘Weibo’, however no other details were revealed about the upcoming smartphone.
As per the reports, the upcoming Gionee Elife S6 is expected to feature a 5-inch HD AMOLED (720×1280 pixels) display. It will be powered by 1.3 GHz octa-core MediaTek processor along with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone would run on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Amigo 3.1 UI on the top and will be powered by a 3150 mAh battery.
Gionee Elife S6 might come with 16GB of internal storage which will be further expandable via a micro SD card. The smartphone is expected to sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front facing camera. The handset said to be just 6 mm thin and weighs 124 grams.
Recently, Gionee launched its first made in India phone, named as Gionee F103 for Rs 9,999. The smartphone comes with a 5 inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display, 1.3 GHz quad core processor paired with 2 GB of RAM . The handset runs on Android Lollipop operating system and offers a 2400 mAh battery that claims to offer 11 hours of 3G talktime.
It comes with 16 GB of Internal Memory and a 32 GB micro SD card slot. Besides this, the smartphone offers dual SIM slot, 4G connectivity, FM radio, GPS with A-GPS, OTG, WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth 2.0 A2DP, FM radio and a host of sensors.
