Gionee is all set to launch a new selfie-focused smartphone on August 22 in India. Gionee has started sending out invites for the launch of its latest smartphone on August 22.
The invite reads “The Director’s Cut” along with #SELFIEWITHFLASH, which indicates that the front-facing camera will have LED flash light.
As of now company has not revealed any information on which smartphone they will going to unveil at the launch event. However, as per media report, most likely it will be Gionee S6s which was recently spotted on Zauba, an Indian import and export listing website.
As far as specifications of Gionee S6s is concerned, it has a metal unibody design and features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display. It is armed with 1.3 GHz octa-core Mediatek (MT6753) processor, which is clubbed with Mali T-720 GPU. The smartphone comes with 3GB RAM, and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up-to 128GB via microSD card. The S6s runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Amigo 3.2 UI on top of it.
The S6s comes packed with 3150 mAh non-removable battery and also houses a fingerprint scanner on the back panel. On the camera front, the smartphone has a 13-megapixel shooter with LED Flash, and PDAF on the back. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash for selfies and video calling. Besides, the device offers Hybrid Dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/AGPS, and a micro USP port.
The Gionee S6s was recently unveiled in Vietnam for 4,490,000 Vietnamese Dong (approximately Rs 13,484) and comes in Gold, Rose Gold, and Silver color options.
