Gionee S8 was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2016 event held in Barcelona last month and is expected to be launched in India next month. At that time, Gionee said that the S8 will be available for Euro 449 or approximately Rs 34,000. But now Phoneradar stumbled upon a listing of Gionee S8 on the company’s China website on which it is listed for Yuan 10,000 or unbelievable Rs 1,03,350 approximately.
However, we guess it is a typographical error as there could not be a such a huge difference.
The Gionee S8, which comes with a full metal body, has been announced in three colours – gold, blue, and pink colours. It has a fingerprint sensor that is embedded in its home button which is located just below the display. The S8 is armed with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Besides, the S8 offers WiFi (b/g/n), WiFi Direct, WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 A2DP, GPS with AGPS, FM radio, and a micro USB port with USB Host functionality.
