Gionee S6 Pro with metal body, 4GB RAM launching on June 13

The S6 Pro houses a fingerprint scanner and comes with a USB Type-C port as well.

Gionee will launch a smartphone called Gionee S6 Pro in China on June 13. Gionee announced this through a teaser that was posted on its official Weibo account. The Gionee S6 Pro is said to succeed the Gionee Elife S6 smartphone, which was launch in India earlier this year for Rs 19,999.

Last month, a smartphone with model name Gionee GN9012 was spotted on TENAA, which as per media reports will now launch as Gionee S6 Pro on June 13th event.

As per TENNA listing, the Gionee GN9012 aka Gionee S6 Pro features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) and it is fueled by a 1.8GHz octa-core processor, which is paired with 4GB of RAM, and 32GB/64GB of internal storage, with option to expand via a micro SD card. It runs on 6.0 Marshmallow operating system wrapped under Gionee’s Amigo OS and is backed up by a 3130mAh non-removable battery.

The S6 Pro flaunts a decent 13-megapixel shooter with LED flash on the back and an 8-megapixel selfie snapper on the front. The smartphone houses a fingerprint scanner and comes with a port as well. Further, the smartphone offers Hybrid Dual SIM, VoLTE support, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The handset measures 153 x 75.3 x 7.6mm and weighs around 150 grams.
