Gionee has announced two more smartphones under its Marathon series which is known for its big battery based smartphones. The latest additions to the series are Gionee Marathon M5 Plus and Marathon M5 Enjoy which come with 5020 and 5000 mAh batteries respectively.
The Gionee Marathon M5 Plus has a huge 6 inch screen and a fingerprint sensor as well. The AMOLED Display has full HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution. Besides, the smartphone has 3 GB RAM, Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with Gionee’s Amigo 3.0 UI on top, MediaTek MT6753 octa-core 64-bit Processor and 64 GB of internal storage. With its huge 5020 mAh battery, the M5 Plus claims to offer 34.5 days and 829 hours of maximum standby time.
The Gionee Marathon M5 Plus also comes with a 13 Megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. The dual SIM smartphone has USB Type C charging port and is compatible with 4G networks as well. Note that the Gionee Marathon M5 Plus has been announced for China at Yuan 2499 or Rs 25,567 approximately. Though there is no word yet from the company, considering Gionee’s focus on the Indian market, the smartphone can be expected to be launched in India pretty soon.
The predecessor of Gionee Marathon M5 Plus, the Marathon M5 is available in India for Rs 17,999. It has a smaller 5.5 inch Amoled screen but comes with a bigger 6020 mAh battery. To check out its other features click here.
The Gionee Marathon M5 Enjoy has a 5.5 inch HD display. It is quite heavy, weighing 200 grams, with its 5000 mAh battery. It has 3 GB RAM, quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, 16 GB internal memory, 128 GB micro SD card slot, 8 megapixel primary camera and a 5 megapixel selfie shooter.
Besides, the Marathon M5 Enjoy has Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with Amigo UI, dual SIM, 4G connectivity, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and FM radio. It is priced at 1,999 Yuan or approximately Rs 20,450 and comes only in Gold colour.
