Gionee is all set to launch its much-hyped Gionee M2017 smartphone with 7000mAh battery at an event, which is scheduled to take place in China at Haikou Mission Hills on December 26th. The invite teaser has been posted by Gionee vice president, Yu Lei, on its Weibo account.
Last week, we have seen few images of the smartphone posted on Weibo, a Chinese Social Media platform, confirming the earlier leaks.
The smartphone already got the compulsory TENAA certification in China and was also spotted on AnTuTu website. Moreover, three images of the smartphone with details about few specs were also leaked earlier.
As per earlier listings, Gionee M2017 features a 5.7-inch QHD display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and is powered by a 1.98GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 653 processor, along with Adreno 510 GPU. Earlier it was expected to be powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 processor. The smartphone gets its strength from a whopping 7000mAh battery. Further, as per listing, the smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. On the camera front, it has dual rear camera setup with dual lead flash, one of the camera has 13-megapixel resolution and the second one comes with the 12-megapixel resolution. On its front, it has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. Besides, the smartphone offers 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth, a MicroUSB port , WiFi and GPS.The handset measures 155.2×77.6×10.65 mm and weighs 230 grams. Moreover, as per reports smartphone is said to house a fingerprint scanner as well, which will be embedded in its home button.
