Gionee, after launching F103 with 2GB RAM in October last year for Rs 9,999, has launched its successor, the Gionee F103 Pro for Rs 11,990 and will be available in online and offline retail stores.
The Gionee F103 Pro features a 5-inch HD (1280x720p) IPS Oncell display. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, which is paired with 3GB RAM. These specifications are similar to F 103 expect that the latter had a 2 GB RAM version as well.
Even the 16GB internal memory which can be boosted up to 128GB through a micro SD card is similar in both the devices. The only notable difference between the two devices is F103 Pro runs on latest Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system and has an updated customised user interface – Amigo.
F103 Pro is fueled by a 2400mAh Li-Ion polymer battery, which the company claims offer up to 20 hours and 470 hours of standby time. The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera as compared to 8- megapixel camera unit in its predecessor with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera.
Further, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/AGPS, Proximity sensor, G-sensor, Motion sensor, Light sensor, and Accelerometer. The handset measures 145.3 x 70.5 x 8.5mm and weighs 143 grams. As of now, 1GB and 3GB RAM models of Gionee F103 are priced at Rs 8,499 and Rs 10,999 respectively.
Gionee F103 Pro which looks like a refurbished version of its predecessor will be facing a tough challenge from recently launched, LeEco Le2, Honor 5C, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, and Yu Yunicon who all have given users something extra in terms of content or service or even hardware which is lacking in the latest device from Gionee.
