Gionee, a Chinese brand which has recently entered Indian market, has launched a new quad core smartphone, called CTRL V4.
Ctrl V4 comes with a 1.2 GHz quad core Processor and a 4.5 inch display with FWVGA (480×854) resolution which is quite low as other phones in this category come with qHD resolution. The smartphone though is based on the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
The Gionee CTRL V4 comes with a 5 megapixel rear camera and a front facing VGA camera. The 9.7 mm thick handset has a Yamaha PA 168 digital sound system for better sound output. CTRL V4 comes in with an in-built 4 GB memory and has expandable memory slot for up to 32 GB. It is powered by a 1800 mAh battery.
Gionee CTRL V4 is available in white and black colours and has been priced at Rs 9,999. It comes with free 8 GB Memory card and a phone case.
The phone will compete with phones like Karbonn Titanium S1 which gets the same features but is cheaper at Rs 8,599. XOLO Q800 and Q700, both priced at Rs 9,999 and have more or less the same specification as this Gionee handset, are two other alternatives.
