Gionee A1 to be launched on March 21, mid budget smartphone segment to get hotter

Gionee A1 comes with a new 18W ultrafast charging solution

Gionee is all set to launch its new A-series smartphone ‘GioneeA1’ in India on March 21. The device was unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2017 last month in Barcelona. Though the company has not shared the price of the device but it is expected to be priced at between Rs 16,000 – Rs 17,000.

As per senior officials of Gionee, the huge battery and selfie camera of A1 will be its strong points. The company claims the device comes with a new 18W ultrafast charging solution can charge the smartphone 100% in under 2 hours.

Gionee A1 Specifications:

Gionee A1 offers a 5.5-inch full with 1920×1080 resolution and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek 6755 Helio P10 processor, along with 4GB and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone also comes with an option to expand the storage to 128GB via microUSB port.

On the camera front, the smartphone has a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, F2.0, 1/3.06 inches, 5P lens, flash and a 16-megapixel front camera with fixed focus, F2.0, 1/3.06 inches, 5P lens, selfie flash. The smartphone runs on 7.0 Nougat operating system and is backed up by a 4,010 mAh battery. Besides, the smartphone comes with dual-SIM support, LTE, Wi-Fi, 4.1, GPS, and micro USB. The handset measures 154.5 x 76.5 x 8.5 mm and weighs 182 g.

Latest development:

Off late, Gionee has invested heavily in customer service and R&D facility in India as a result of which one can expect the regular update for the devices. Also, the company has been trying hard to reduce the gap between India and China launch of devices which gives out strong signals that India is a key market for Gionee and all the customizationon the smartphones are done keeping in mind the Indian users.
