Adding another member to its Moto series, Lenovo is all set to launch Moto M this Tuesday. While the company has already sent out the invites for the launch, it seems like the company is not done with the hype yet. Yesterday night, Flipkart via its Twitter handle teased the launch of a smartphone, which probably is the new Moto M.
The Tweet read – “It’s Metallic. It’s Marvelous. And it could be yours very soon. Coming soon on Flipkart! #SomethingMagnificent.”
This comes in just after when rumours had it that Lenovo will go for US based Amazon to sell the new Moto M in India as well. While the Moto G4 series was sold via Amazon, the company decided to opt for Flipkart to sell its Moto Z series. Further, after this tweet, we are pretty sure that it will be the Indian E-Commerce giant who would be selling the Moto M in the country. Whether it will be the only one to sell it? We don’t know. The device was launched earlier this month in China at CNY 1,999 (approx. Rs 19,600).
Moto M is a mid-range smartphone from Lenovo which is expected to be priced around Rs 20,000. Briefing out the specifications, the device will come with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display. Running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, Moto M is powered by an Octa-Core 2.2 GHz MediaTek Helio P15 CPU coupled with Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. For the memory, the device will come with 3GB/4GB RAM with 32GB internal storage which will be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD. Unlike the other Moto devices, the Moto M will feature a fingerprint scanner at the back.
For Photography, the smartphone houses a 16-megapixel primary camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDA, 1µm pixel size, full HD video recording, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection and Auto-HDR paired with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. For the juice, the device will be powered by a 3050 mAh Li-Ion battery which will support Fast charging technology. Connectivity features of the device include dual sim 4G, VoLTE, GPS capability, Bluetooth NFC, USB Type-C. For the design, Lenovo has gone for a splash-proof metallic design. The device measures at 151.35×75.35×7.85mm and weighs at 163 grams.
