Apple iPhone 5S
Ok, it does not have as good specs as Mark 1 but who cares. After all, it’s an iPhone. Though it is three years old and is on the verge of being decommissioned, but it is still one of the most sought after Apple products in India. Also despite its comparatively low end hardware, the iPhone 5S can challenge many new Android phones in the sub-Rs 25,000 segment.
The iPhone 5S was introduced back in September 2013. It comes with a 4 inch display with 1136×64 pixels resolution. This iOS 7 based smartphone has the A7 chip that comprises a 64 bit processor. It offers an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 1.2 megapixel front camera. Armed with fingerprint sensor, the Apple iPhone 5S also comes with three axis gyro sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and even digital compass. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass coating as well.
Besides, it has WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB 2.0, and GPS with A-GPS. It has a 1440 mAh Li-Ion battery that is said to provide 10 hours of talktime on 2G and 9 hours of talktime on 3G network.
The Lenovo Vibe Shot, touted as the company’s first real-camera phone, offers a 16 megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilisation. There is a triple-LED flash light in the back panel as well. In the front, the phone has an 8 megapixel camera. The phone also comes with a manual mode.
The Lenovo Vibe Shot has a 5 inch touchscreen with full HD resolution (1920×1080 pixels) and comes with latest Android Lollipop operating system. It is powered by the Snapdragon 615 octa core processor and huge 3 GB RAM. It offers plenty of storage as well – 32 GB internal and 128 GB of expandable memory.
The Lenovo Vibe Shot has two nano SIM slots with dual standby feature and 4G connectivity. It has GPS/A-GPS, dual band WiFi with Hotspot, micro USB 2.0 port, and Bluetooth 4.1. There is a decent 2900 mAh Li-Po battery in the device as well.
It is currently available for Rs 19,990.
We opted this for its front camera which at 13 megapixel resolution sounds really great. The HTC Desire 826, which was launched in India last year, has a 5.5 inch display that has full HD (1080p) resolution. It comes with the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop operating system and has an octa core processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 615), Adreno 405 graphics processor, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory. There is an expandable storage slot as well that can accomodate a micro SD card of up to 128 GB.
This single SIM device said to have 4G connectivity but there is no word whether it has compatibility with the Indian networks or not. Anyway, it has 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, WiFi, NFC, and GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS. The Desire 826 has a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 4 megapixel front camera. It is armed with a 2600 mAh battery.
Note that its 2 GB RAM variant is currently selling for about Rs 19,000 but just yesterday a report claimed that the 3 GB RAM variant of the phone has been launched in India for Rs 19,990. So if you liked the HTC Desire 826, we would suggest you to wait for few days and grab the 3 GB variant instead of this 2 GB model.
