Fitbit today formally announced its entry into the Indian market with three fitness bands – Fitbit Charge at Rs 9,990, Fitbit Charge HR at Rs 12,990 and Fitbit Surge at Rs 19,990. Fitbit has joined hands with Reliance, Croma, and Amazon to sell its products in India.
The Fitbit Charge tracks steps, distance covered, calories burned, floors climbed, and active minutes. It has a small OLED display that shows the stats, time of the day, and exercise mode. This display also shows call notifications. The Band claims to offer 7-10 days of battery back up. You can also track your sleep pattern.
Fitbit Charge HR looks similar to the Fitbit Charge but has additional heart rate monitor. Fitbit Surge has a much bigger display and looks much like a smartwatch offering text notifications apart from call notifications. It has heart rate monitor as well as a GPS tracking as well.
