Fitbit has added a new member to its fitness club with the launch of Alta HR fitness Band in India. The smart band is touted to be world’s slimmest fitness band with continuous heart rate tracking. The device is priced at Rs 14,999 and is available for pre-order Amazon from 15 to 31 March 2017. From 01 to 15 April 2017, Alta HR will be available exclusively on Amazon and from 16 April 2017 onwards across major India retailers including Reliance Digital, Croma, Helios, Jumbo and Vijay Sales retail stores. There is also a special edition Alta HR which comes in Gun Metal and Rose Gold colour option and is priced at Rs 16,999.
To start with, the smart band comes with loaded with company’s PurePulse technology for continuous heart rate tracking. The company has also introduced new advances in sleep tracking, which comes with Sleep Stages and Sleep Insights. In Sleep Stages, the band utilises heart rate variability to estimate the amount of time you spend in light, deep and REM sleep, as well as time awake each night to better understand your sleep quality. While Sleep Insights uses the whole of your Fitbit data to provide personalised guidance on how to improve your sleep for better overall health.

Other than this, the smart band can track steps, distance, calorie burn and active minutes. There is a SmartTrack feature which records activities likewalking, running, cycling, elliptical, sports and aerobic workouts in the Fitbit app. Then there arecall, text and calendar notifications as well.
The fitness band comes with a variety of accessories as well. There are different bands including Classic fitness bands with black, blue gray, fuchsia or coral classic fitness wristbands and matching aluminum buckle is priced at Rs 2,999; Luxe Leather bands which include brown, indigo and lavender with matching buckle comes with a price tag of Rs 5,999; and Luxe Metal Bracelet is priced at Rs 9,999.
