Lenovo today launched six devices in India (for a detailed story, Click here ). Few of them have quad core processors but the most important handsets of those is the K900 which is Lenovo’s first handset to have an Intel processor.
We got a chance to lay our hands on the new Lenovo K900 and here is our first impression.

Design and Display
The device has a huge 5.5 inch display, which makes it lot bigger than average smartphones but at the same time, the big display offers far greater functionality.

In terms of the design the Lenovo K900 device looks brilliant in its 6.9mm thick body which is by far much thinner than most smartphones out there in the market. Curiously despite having such a big display and a metallic body, the Lenovo K900 is much lighter with just 162 grams.

The brushed metal design of the Lenovo K900 makes the device look good at the same time adds a ton of durability to the device. To further strengthen the smartphone, Lenovo has utilised the Corning Gorilla Glass 2 as protective surface for the display, making the screen a bit more secure against scratches and damages.

The Lenovo K900 comes with a massive 5.5 inch full HD IPS display featuring a magnificent 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution at 401 PPI pixel density making visuals as detailed as possible without any signs of pixilation.

Processor
But it not about the looks only; the Lenovo K900 smartphone has a 2 GHz dual core processor from Intel which is assisted by a healthy 2 GB RAM. It comes with the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system as well. Along with that the smartphone has 16 GB of internal storage space which can further bumped upto 32 GB via a micro SD card.
We hadn’t had much chance to test the mettle of this processor so can’t give an opinion on the same.

Camera
The Lenovo K900 boasts of a 13 Megapixel rear camera which is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. There is a 2 megapixel resolution based front camera which has a wide angle lens as well.

Other features
The K900 comes with a micro SIM slot and can offer 21 Mbps of data speed on compatible network. Besides, it has WiFi and Bluetooth. Another big inclusion in the device is Intel’s patented Wi-Di technology; it allows the portable device to send up to 1080p HD videos and 5.1 surround sound to a compatible display wirelessly.

Conclusion:
The Lenovo K900 is priced at Rs 32,999 for which it offers speedy performance, great display and overall specifications. The real world performance however we will only comment on when we receive the device for review.
