Facebook app for iOS gets privacy options

The new update brings better sharing options for users and also adds up friends as well as places while posting through the iOS app.

Facebook has released an important update for its Facebook app for iPhone and iPod Touch users. The new Facebook app 3.5 update adds privacy control options to the posts with a new sharing tool. Besides, users will be able to tag friends as well as places in their posts.
The new Facebook app update is available for the iPhone and iPod Touch users running iOS 4.0 or higher.

The new Facebook update has several bug fixes for the improvement of existing features. For instance, the chat and photo related bugs have been squashed and the Notifications speed has been tweaked. One can now easily select filters from the News Feed.

Several new features have been added as well like now you can tag your friends and places in the posts for your wall. Users now can share the external links from the web view provided by the application. Places and Group Walls underwent a cosmetic facelift.

Most crucial improvement is the addition of the privacy controls on posts and match them with the website settings. This update is applicable only to the iPhone and iPod Touch devices. The Facebook app for iPad is still missing from action and has surprisingly taken longer than expected to be released.
