Amazon is all set to add a new member to its Echo series of smart speaker tomorrow for around Rs 4,500. Sources close to the development told The Mobile Indian that the brand will launch a portable Bluetooth-enabled Echo smart speaker during the event.
The sources further revealed that the smart speaker will be battery-operated and it will be portable, meaning that users can carry it around the house. One can also charge the device just like other Bluetooth speakers through a Micro USB port. For those who are not aware, Amazon Echo smart speakers require a constant connection via power adapter in order to function.
However, unlike other Bluetooth speakers, this one will be smart. The latest speaker will come loaded with Amazon Alexa and users will be able to communicate with the virtual assistant on-the-go and listen to favourite music from different streaming services like Amazon Prime Music and more. One will be able to connect the speaker with Mobile Hotspot or a WiFi network. Furthermore, the speaker will come with a compact form factor and it will be slightly bigger than the Amazon Echo Dot.
The sources also added that the upcoming smart speaker will be available in India in the next 10 days. The smart speaker will be available for purchase from its e-commerce platform, though there is no information available on the pricing part.
