Dual SIM ASUS fonepad 7 tablet with voice calling support announced

ASUS has introduced a new fonepad 7 tablet that supports dual SIM configuration, voice calling and one 3G network support with dual-core 1.2 Ghz Intel Atom Z2520 mobile chipset.

ASUS has launched a revamped version of the fonepad 7 tablet in India. Revised ASUS fonepad 7 ME170CG supports voice calling and Dual configuration. The fonepad 7 measures 10 mm thick and is 11 cm wide. ASUS powered the fonepad 7 with the dual-core 1.2 Ghz Intel Atom Z2520 mobile and offered full network enabled smartphone function. ASUS is yet to confirm the price of the new fonepad 7 tablet.

Asus Fonepad 7, as its name suggests, has a 7 inch TN Panel display with 1024×600 pixel resolution. The touchscreen supports up to 10 finger multi-touch support. This new version of the fonepad 7 features dual-core 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Z2520 mobile processor. The fonepad 7 tablet features essential 1 GB and offers only 4 GB onboard storage.

ASUS has loaded the tablet with 4.3 Jelly Bean. One can also add up to 64 GB micro SD card to expand the storage. Asus Fonepad 7 has 2 megapixel rear camera, 0.3 megapixel front camera. ASUS has placed a 3950 mAh capacity battery that promises about 30 hours worth of 3G network talk time and 10 hours of overall battery run time.

Other features include 4.0 and supports for faster mobile internet experience. Apart from that, the fonepad 7 can hold two SIM cards and one 3G network micro SIM as well.

ASUS fonepad 7 will be offered in Black, White, Red and Blue colour options.
