Domo launches 5.2 inch smartphone for Rs 8,900

Domo launches two new Android phone with nTice F12 and nTice A10 priced at Rs 8,900 and Rs 3,990 respectively with 5.2 inch and 4 inch display.

Domo, a new home grown brand, has entered the smartphone market with two new very attractively priced phones. It has launched a 5.2 inch display bearing handset, called Domo nTice F12, and a 4 inch Domo nTice A10, priced at Rs 8,900 and Rs 3,990 respectively.

The Domo nTice F12 has 1.2 GHz dual core processor, 512 RAM, 4 inbuilt memory and 5.2 inch display with 480×800 resolution which is quite low for this size display.

The nTice F12 has an 8 megapixel rear camera and a VGA camera in front. The Dual SIM phone runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.1. Domo has provided only standard Android apps with the phone and offers access to Google Play store for more apps.

The phone offers 3G, WiFi, 3.0 and connectivity. The Domo nTice F12 also comes with a 2500 battery. Given the price, large display and good processor, lower resolution of the display can be ignored. Also, since none of the Indian brands offer better camera phone, we do not expect much from the Domo nTice F12. However Domo is a relatively unknown brand and that might hamper the adoption of the phone.

The smaller nTice A10 is much cheaper and does not offer 3G connectivity. The phone is powered by a 1 GHz which is assisted by Mali 300 and 256 MB RAM. It comes with a 4 inch display with 480×800 pixel resolution and dual SIM slots.

The phone has a 2 megapixel unit at the back and VGA camera in front. There is a 1500 mAh lithium polymer battery powering the phone with claimed of 4.5 hours. While the phone is priced well, RAM is too low for smooth performance and also this means that you only get Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
