MoboTap has released Dolphin Browser HD for iPad with gestures and tabbed browsing. Dolphin Browser HD is already available for iPhone as well as Android based smartphones and tablets. This browser has been designed specifically for the iPad and comes with a host of fresh features like gestures and Webzine. It also has standard browser features like speed dial and sidebars. Dolphin Browser HD for iPad is available at the Apple App Store for free.
At first instance the Dolphin Browser HD appears to be a Hulk version of Google Chrome. It is a gesture based browser that enables fast browsing with minimal possible effort and no typing. For instance, you can quickly go to Twitter by drawing a ‘T’ or to Facebook by drawing ‘F’ in the gesture area.
The large screen certainly makes web browsing more pleasant and the Webzine feature compiles conventionally laid out online content and presents it in the form of a magazine. Tabbed browsing gives a desktop-like web browsing experience so that one can quickly switch between open tabs. Using speed dial one can anchor shortcuts to favorite websites.
The browser also features sidebars that provide quick access to the tabs bar and the bookmarks bar. One can also enable Private mode for the browser to stop tracking browsing history.
Dolphin Browser HD is compatible with an iPad tablet running iOS 3.2 or higher and currently supports English as well as Chinese languages.
