Dish TV has introduced the d2h skill on Amazon Alexa to allow users to discover content using their voice. With the Alexa skill set, users will be able to say “Alexa, enable d2h” to search for content on their Dish TV devices.
Right off the bat, the d2h skill will enable users to take advantage of Voice commands through Alexa to explore content and get up-to-date information about their d2h account. The feature will allow subscribers to set reminders for their favourite programs, get recommendations on trending programs, access their account details, register request for calls from customer care, perform troubleshooting and more through Alexa devices.
The new d2h skill from Dish TV can be used by anyone with an Amazon Echo speaker or with devices or headsets enabled by Alexa. The feature can also be accessed via the Alexa App on iOS and Android and the company says there are more features for the skill set in the pipeline.
The basic set of skills available currently are:
“Alexa, ask d2h what is my account balance?”
“Alexa, ask d2h when do I need to recharge my account?”
“Alexa, ask d2h to call me”
“Alexa, ask d2h to remind me when FRIENDS is playing?”
“Alexa, ask d2h what is playing on Zee Café?”
“Alexa, ask d2h what time is “Modern Family” scheduled today?”
“Alexa, ask d2h what are the top (movie/sports/tv shows) of the day?”
How to use d2h skill through Alexa app on Android and iOS:
1. Install, open and sign in with your Amazon account on the Alexa app on iOS or Android.
2. Prompt Alexa to open the d2h skill by saying “Alexa, launch d2h” or “Alexa, open d2h”.
3. Follow up with any of the queries from above to use Alexa for d2h.

The d2h skill on Amazon Alexa is currently available for use on Amazon Echo speakers, Alexa-enables speakers and headphones as well as the Alexa app on Android and iOS.
