After the launch of Lenovo Chromebook series, Dell has also announced its new Chromebook 5190 under its Chromebook 5000 series. The Chromebook is available in traditional Clamshell and 2-in-1 convertible options. The laptop is specially designed for the educational purpose and it will be available at a starting price tag of $289 (approximately 18,400) and will start shipping in February.
The Chromebook 5190, features an 11.6-inch HD IPS display with the screen resolution of 1366×768 pixels. It is powered by the Intel Celeron Quad-core Processor and runs on the Google Chrome operating system.

The memory and storage options of the laptop are not disclosed yet by the company, but it is expected to be backed up by 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB eMMC internal storage, similar to the Lenovo Chromebook 500e.
On the connectivity front, the Dell Chromebook 5190 comes with the WiFi, Bluetooth, USB-Type C and expected to feature, USB port, Headphone jack and SD card reader. The laptop is said to support up to 13 hours of battery life and if you want to doodle on the screen, the company is also offering EMR (electro-magnetic resonance)Pen.
