Coolpad, a China based mobile phone manufacturer, has announced an affordable smartphone for the US market. Named as Coolpad Rogue, the handset comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and 4G support for just $49.99 (approx Rs 3,300). The smartphone will be available for purchase in the USA from September 30 onwards.
Coolpad Rogue features a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor along with Adreno 304 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The smartphone runs on the customized version of Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
For storage, the Coolpad Rogue offers 4 GB of internal storage which is further expandable to up to 32 GB via a micro SD card.
The Coolpad Rogue comes with a 2-megapixel primary rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA resolution) front camera. The handset offers 4G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The handset measures 126.5 x 64.4 x 13.2 mm. Though Coolpad has not revealed the size of its battery, the phone claims to offer 6 hours of Talk time and 200 hours of standby time.
Coolpad entered the Indian market earlier this year with two devices – Dazen 1 in the affordable segment and the Dazen X7 in the mid-range segment, priced at Rs 6,999 and Rs 17,999 respectively.
There is no information as of now about Coolpad Rogue’s availability in other markets.
