Coolpad is holding an event on September 30 in Delhi where it will announce a new smartphone. The company has not announced anything about the handset yet. However today we have discovered a phone called Coolpad Note 5 on Zauba, a website that tracks goods imported and or exported to or from India. This Coolpad Note 5 could be the upcoming phone about which the company is teasing for some days.
Infact, in its earlier teasers, Coolpad has been highlighting the number 5 which is perhaps an indication towards its name – Note 5. Earlier, we thought that the phone might come with a 5000 mAh battery and that’s why Coolpad is using the No 5 in all its teasers.
Coolpad Note 5, if launched now, will succeed the Coolpad Note 3, Coolpad Note 3 Plus, and Coolpad Note 3 Lite which are available at Rs 8,499, Rs 8,999, and Rs 7,499 respectively. So we would expect Note 5 to be priced between Rs 8,000-9,000 like its predecessors. This also means that Coolpad will skip the Note 4. Earlier, the smartphone was supposed to be launched on September 23, but Coolpad postponed the launch due to some unknown reason.
In the Zuaba listing, Coolpad Note 5 (MODEL: COOLPAD 3600I) has a price tag of Rs 8,832. It is listed in Space Gey and Royal Gold colour models. However, right now no other information is available about the Coolpad Note 5.
