Coolpad is all set to launch its two new smartphones in India, named as Coolpad Note 3S and Mega 3. The company has started sending out media invites for the curtain-raiser event which is scheduled to take place in Delhi on November 30th.
If we go by the smartphone naming, it looks like Coolpad Note 3S could be a successor or any other variant of last year’s Coolpad Note 3. As of now there are two more variants of Note 3 are available in the market, namely, Note 3 Lite and Note 3 Plus.
As far as the specification of Coolpad Note 3 is concerned, it features a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and has a customised interface, Cool UI 6.0. This dual SIM smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 Processor and has 3GB RAM. For graphics, it has the Mali-T720 MP2 GPU.
The Coolpad Note 3 offers 16 GB of built-in storage and a Memory card slot using which you can increase its memory to up to 64 GB via a micro SD card. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera as well. The smartphone is packed with 3000 mAh battery. Its connectivity options include 2G, 3G, 4G/ LTE, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, WLAN, Bluetooth 4.0, and micro USB. It also comes with Fingerprint sensor on its backside. The phone measures 151 x 7 x 9.3mm mm and weighs 155 grams.
On the other hand, Coolpad Mega 3 could succeed Coolpad Mega 2.5D smartphone which was launched in India in the month of August this year. The Coolpad Mega 2.5D has a 5.5 inch IPS display with high definition (1280×720 pixels) resolution. It has the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Cool UI 8.0 interface. The phone has two SIM slots and both are capable of accommodating 4G SIMS. Unfortunately, it is a hybrid SIM slot and hence if you use two SIMs, you have to forgo expandable storage. The smartphone comes packed with a 2500 mAh battery, which claims to deliver up-to 8 hours of talk-time and up-to 150 hours on standby time.
The Mega 2.5D is armed with Mediatek’s MT6753P quad-core processor, which is clubbed with Mali-T720 GPU, 3GB RAM, and 16 GB of internal storage, with the option to expand up to 32GB with a microSD card. On the camera front, the phone has 8-megapixel camera both on its front and rear panels. The device is measured by 7.85 mm of thickness and is the weight around 140 grams. The smartphone offers all basic connectivity functions like WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and a microUSB port.
