Coolpad Cool S1, which was launched in China in December last year is all set to hit the Indian shores in the month of May later this year. According to company sources, Cool S1 will arrive in India in the second quarter this year. Coolpad has showcased Cool S1 smartphone at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain.
To recollect, Coolpad Cool S1 is a Cool series smartphone co-developed by Coolpad and LeEco. This is the third Cool series smartphone after Cool 1Dual and Cool 1C smartphones. The Cool S1 comes in three different variants in China- 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage variant priced at CNY 2499 (approximately Rs 24,241), the 6GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage variant cost CNY 2699 (approximately Rs 26,181), and for the 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage variant one has to pay CNY 3199 (approximately Rs 31,031). However, the company is expected to launch 4GB RAM model in India.
The device features a 5.5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and is powered by a 2.35GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor, along with Adreno 530 GPU. The smartphone comes with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system with EUI 5.8 on top of it. It also houses a fingerprint scanner on its pack panel and has USB Type-C port as well.
On the camera front, the smartphone flaunts a 16-megapixel primary camera with PDAF, dual tone LED flash paired with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone is backed by a 4070mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. Besides, the smartphone offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, a micro-USB port, accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor. The smartphone is fitted with Harman Kardon’s tone tuning technology and comes packed with Harman Kardon AKG N18 Earphones. The handset measures 151.4×74.7x.5 mm and weighs at 168 g. It comes in Black and Gold colour options
