As per the latest teaser released by the company, Coolpad is all set to launch a new smartphone in India on December 28th. The company is teasing its upcoming smartphone from quite a while now and today Coolpad has posted a new teaser revealing the launch date of its upcoming smartphone. Although, the company didn’t reveal any information about the device but in all possibility the teased smartphone might be the Coolpad and LeEco co-developed smartphone, Cool1 Dual. 
Coolpad today posted across its social media network a teaser with the caption – “Made out of curiosity to challenge the obvious & break from boring to make you look different in crowd. Are you ready for the one? #CForLife”.
Last month, we exclusively reported that Coolpad and LeEco are gearing up to launch their first smartphone in India next month as a result of their joint venture and the smartphone is expected to be priced somewhere between Rs 10,000 and Rs 17,000.
Coolpad and LeEco co-developed smartphone ‘Cool1 Dual’ was launched in August this year in China. The smartphone was launched in three variants – a 3GB RAM+32GB internal storage model at 1099 Yuan (approx. Rs 10,700), a 4GB RAM+32GB internal storage model at 1499 Yuan (approx. Rs 14,600), and a 4GB RAM+64GB internal storage variant at 1699 Yuan (approx.Rs 16,600). However, as per our previous report Coolpad is expected skip one of the variants and launch the device with 3GB RAM+32GB and 4GB RAM+64GB.
As far as other specifications are concerned, the Cool1 Dual smartphone has a metal unibody with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) in-cell display. It has an Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 processor, which is paired with Adreno 510 GPU. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with LeEco’s customized user interface LeEco’s EUI 5.6 on top.
On the camera front, the Cool1 Dual has two 13-megapixel rear cameras with f/2.0 aperture, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), dual tone LED flash on the back. On the other hand, the front of the device boasts an 8-megapixel snapper with with f/2.2 Aperture for selfies and video calling. Having a fingerprint scanner at the back, the smartphone comes packed with powerful 4060 mAh non-removable battery with fast charging. This dual SIM device offers 4G with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 ac/a/b/g/n) ,Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and USB Type C port which will be double up as an audio port. The handset measures 152 × 74.8 × 8.2mm and weighs 167 grams.
