Nokia, which has adopted Microsoft Windows Phone for its smartphone portfolio some time back, is reportedly set to come out with another handset with the operating system.
WPCentral spotted a Windows Phone 7.1 Tango build running Nokia handset codenamed Champagne in its “I’m a WP7!” app. This Nokia Champagne is most likely to be an affordable version of the Windows Phone running smartphones.
Nokia has recently announced the Lumia 800 and 701 handsets running Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update. Now other prototypes are being tested albeit with a different operating system build that will have to some toned down features. Nokia Champagne popped up in the list smartphones used to access the “I’m a WP!” by WPCental and the smartphone was running Windows Phone 7.10.8711 build.
The Windows Phone Tango build would be meant for the affordable range of handsets. Similarly, we have toned down Android 2.2 Froyo update running affordable handsets.
