Lenovo is working on a new handset dubbed as Vibe Z2 Pro, according to Engadget which claimed to have spotted the smartphone on a Chinese microblogging site –Weibo (requires login). As apparent from its naming itself, the Vibe Z2 Pro will succeed Lenovo’s current flagship handset, the Vibe Z. With Vibe Z2 Pro, Lenovo must be hoping to establish itself in the high end smartphone market currently dominated by Samsung, HTC, Apple, Sony and LG.
Recently, handset makers such as Samsung, HTC and LG are reported to be working on smartphones with quad-HD resolution supporting displays. Now Lenovo is all set to join the club with its Vibe Z2 Pro that said to have a 6-inch display with Quad-HD (2560×1440) pixel resolution. The Vibe Z2 Pro has a metallic body measuring only 7.7 mm thick.
Lenovo has packed the quad-core 2.5 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 mobile chipset. Lenovo has packed a massive 4000 mAh battery inside this metal chassis bearing smartphone to let it run for long hours. From the leaked images, the smartphone seems to have a two SIM slots. At the rear, it has a 16 megapixel camera with Dual LED flash. The camera will come with Optical Image Stabilization support.
Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro is expected to be launched very soon.
