Have you ever felt enchanted by the BlackBerry Torch, and wanted more of it? If you have, your patience is about to be rewarded. Although it is yet to be officially confirmed, rumour has it that RIM is working on another hybrid phone combining a touchscreen with a QWERTY keypad called BlackBerry Bold Touch.
Torch provided BlackBerry users with ultimate freedom by adding a touchscreen and sliding Qwerty keypad. Similarly, Bold Touch is also supposed to feature a full Qwerty keypad along with a 2.8 inch capacitive touchscreen that has a Resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. Bold Touch connects to 2G and 3G GSM or CDMA networks.
The phone has an optical trackpad for maneuvering, while all other keys have been made feather touch, or capacitive touch like the ones on LG Chocolate. The device runs on BlackBerry 6.1, the latest version of the OS. It has a 5 mega Pixel camera with LED flash.
As of now, information regarding this smartphone is limited as there has been no official word on it, but if rumours are to believed, BlackBerry’s ‘formal’ face is set to go through a change that is being welcomed by many users from around the world.
