CNN today announced that its iPad application is now available at Apple App Store. KC Estenson, the senior vice president and general manager of CNN.com, said, “This app harnesses the best of what the iPad offers by leveraging striking photos and videos; elegant multi-touch navigation; and the ability to share content with your friends via social media.”
The application will include text stories, blog posts, photo galleries, and live or on-demand video. Users have the ability to toggle between US and international news-both of which serve live video of breaking news and select events. The US news section has hourly audio news updates from CNN Radio.
A company release stated that simultaneous to this launch, a free CNN App for iPhone and iPod Touch will also be made available in the USA.
