Dell has introduced a new gaming laptop during the on-going Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2019. The brand has introduced Alienware m17 and has refreshed the specifications of the m15 gaming laptop.
Starting with m17, the laptop will be available in Nebula Red and Epic Silver. It will go on sale from January 29 at a starting price of $1,649.99, which roughly translate to Rs 1,14,600, in the US. The refreshed Alienware m15 gaming laptop will be available from the above-mentioned date at a starting price of $1,579.99 (approx. Rs 1,09,800).
Alienware m17
The Alienware m17 gaming laptop comes loaded with magnesium alloy, which makes it lightweight and provides better thermal management. The laptop weighs 2.63 kgs, making it 45 per cent lighter than its predecessor. Coming to the specifications, the gaming laptop is powered by up to 8th generation Intel Core i9-8950HK six-core processor. It is backed by up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM and up to two 1TB PCIe M.2 SSD storage.
The laptop is equipped with a 17.3-inch screen with an option of Full HD, Quad HD and Ultra HD displays. The QHD panel offers 120Hz refresh rate, while the other two offers 60Hz refresh rate.
For graphics, it is equipped with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q graphics card and users have an option to choose from two battery options: 60 watt-hour and 90 watt-hour. The keyboard offers 1.4mm of travel and it is equipped with anti-ghosting technology along with 4-zone of AlienFX RGB keys and numeric keypad. Connectivity options include three USB 3.0 ports, one Type-C Thunderbolt 3 port, HDMI 2.0, LAN, a mini-Display port, a Headphone and mic combo, Bluetooth 5 and Dual-Band WiFi 802.11ac.
Alienware m15
Dell claims that the latest Alienware m15 gaming laptop is custom-designed for gamers on-the-go. The laptop weighs only 2.16kg and it loaded with latest top-of-the-line specifications. m15 features the latest 8th-gen Intel Core i5/i7 and now i9 CPUs featuring dynamic CPU overclocking alongside NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 20 Series graphics cards. The laptop is equipped with a 15.6-inch with 144Hr refresh rate. The rest of the specifications remains similar to the Alienware m17.
