Named as Travis, the gadget is a small device that is capable of translating conversations in real time. It was unveiled at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show yesterday.

Are you avoiding a foreign tour as you are scared of not being able to communicate with persons whose language you don’t know? We bet, you would be dreaming about those translators of sci-fi movies.

Well, your dream has become a reality now. A Netherland based company has now came out with a translator gadget that allows people to have conversation with each other even if they don’t know a common language.

Named as Travis, the gadget is a small device that is capable of translating conversations in real time. It was unveiled at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show yesterday.

As per its makers, the device can translate 80+ languages as of now. They say that the Artificial Intelligence powering the device offers better results as you use it more.

Travis comes equipped with a quad core and has as well as WiFi connectivity options. The device claims to offer 12 hours of battery back up. There is earphone and option for those who want a little privacy.

Travis said to offer one touch translation. “No fumbling, no distractions, just speak,” say its makers. It claims to offer crystal clear voice.

The Travis translator is priced at $199 and over 80,000 are said to have been ordered already through a campaign.
