Lenovo has introduced its new ThinkPad and ThinkVision Portfolio at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018. The brand has unveiled new laptops under ThinkPad T, ThinkPad X and ThinkPad L series. Lenovo has also introduced ThinkVision X24 and P32u monitor, ThinkPad dock station and Lenovo Tablet 10.
The new ThinkPad T, X and L series is thinner and lighter in design with the 8th Gen Intel Core processors and universal USB Type-C power adaptor across the line-up.
ThinkPad X Series
The ThinkPad X series includes the X280 and X380 Yoga, which will be available at a price tag of Rs $999 (approx Rs 63,400) and $1,459 (approx Rs. 92,500) respectively and it will be available by the end of this month. The laptops come with the rapid charging feature, which delivers 80 percent of battery in just 60 minutes with X280 up to 16.6 hours and X380 Yoga offering up to 13.6 hours of battery life.
Further, the X280 is 20 percent lighter and 15 percent thinners comparing to the previous generation models. For a more enhanced experience, the X380 Yoga comes with an Active Pen and a secure IR camera actress and Windows Hello.
ThinkPad T Series
ThinkPad T Series includes the T480s, T480 and the T580, which will hit the market by the mid-January at a starting price of $989(approx Rs 62,954) for T480, $1,269(approx Rs 80,778) for T480s and $1,079(approx Rs 68,683) for T580. The lineup comes with the 8th Gen Intel Core processors. For security, it has IR camera, fingerprint reader and ThinkShutter Camera Privacy to protect valuable user data.
Other than this, the laptops come with extended battery options, which delivers up to 27 hours of battery life. With 1.3 Kg in weight, the T480s is one of the lightest business laptops in its category.
ThinkPad L Series
The ThinkPad L Series will hit the market from February 2018, at starting price $549(approx Rs 34,946) for ThinkPad L380 Yoga, $449(approx Rs 28,954) for L380, $779(approx Rs 49,654) for L480 and $769(approx Rs 48,950) for L580. The laptops come with an option of a multi-touch display, complete docking station and powered by the 8th Gen Intel core processors. The ThinkPad L580 also offers new AMD graphics.
ThinkVision X24 and P32u
Moving to the ThinkVision monitors, the X24 will be available from January 2018 at $249(approx Rs 15,850), while the P32u will sell from March 2018 at price tag of $1,349(approx Rs 85,870). The ThinkVision X24 is an ultra-thin monitor at just 4mm thin with narrow (1.1mm) bezels. The monitors come with Full HD IPS display which provides a wide viewing angle and 96 percent RGB colour gamut.
ThinkVision P32u is a UHD 4K display with multi-colour space capability. Further, the 32-inch near-edgeless monitor features Thunderbolt 3 In and Out ports for daisy-chain capability.
ThinkPad Docking Station
ThinkPad Docking Station will be available from January in three different models. The basic 90W will come at $199(Rs 12,000 approx), Pro 135W at $249(Rs 16,000 approx) and Ultra 135W at $299(Rs 19,000 approx). It is Designed to accommodate most 12-inch, 14-inch and 15-inch ThinkPad laptops. The Station provides complete connectivity options and keylock security for physical asset protection and gives a fresh approach to traditional docking design with a one-touch slide-to-connect mechanism.
Lenovo Tablet 10
Lenovo has launched its new Tablet 10, the price of the device is not disclosed yet, but it will be available from March 2018. The detachable 2-in-1 PC is powered by the Intel Celeron N Series processors, feature fingerprint reader and discrete Trusted Platform Module for business-class protection. Other than this, it comes with an integrated rechargeable pen, which provides up to 9 hours of battery life.
