CES 2017: HP upgrades its Spectre x360, EliteBook x360, Sprout Pro, Envy Curved AIO lineup

The company has also launched a new HP Omen X 35 Curved Display.

With Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2017 up and running, announcements of different product launches have been coming in since yesterday. The latest one of them is the launch of a refreshed version of HP’s Spectre x360 and the Envy curved AIO 34, Sprout Pro PC along with a new model for EliteBook x360, Sprout Pro as well. Further, the company also launched a new Omen X 35 Curved Display.

HP Spectre x360

The famous HP Spectre x360 has now been upgraded and it now boasts a 15.6-inch screen instead of a 13.3-inch. Further, the display has also been bumped up to (3840 x 2160 resolution). On the inside, the new x360 is powered by the latest Intel Core processors along with NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics. Further, it comes with two front facing speakers tuned by Bang and Olufsen and HP has surprisingly made the new Spectre x360 a bit thicker to fit in a larger battery which the company claims can offer additional 3 hours of battery life. For connectivity, we get a USB Type-C port, a Thunderbolt 3 port, an HDMI port, a USB A port, and USB Type-C 3.1 Gen port. The pre-orders for the Spectre x360 has already started from January 3, 2017, on BestBuy.com for $1,499 with an expected shipping date to be tipped around January 15. However, if you can wait a little longer, you can grab the new Spectre x360 for $1,279.99 via HP.com or from select offline retailers starting February 26, 2017.

HP Envy Curved All-in-One 34

Going by the name, the second generation Envy Curved AIO comes with a 34-inch curved ultra-wide Quad HD micro-edge display with a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels. On the inside, it sports latest 7th generation Intel Core i7 and i5 processor, with up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM with storage options of 256 SSD + 2TB HDD. For the audio, HP has given in 4 speaker system which is again tuned by Bang and Olufsen. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, v4.2, and a 3-in-1 media card reader, HDMI out, HDMI in, four USB 3.0 ports, one USB 3.1 Type-C port. It comes with HP Premium Lifestyle Wireless Keyboard and optical mouse as well. The new HP Envy Curved All-in-One 34 will be available starting January 11 on HP.com with a price of $1729.99. Also, the device will make it to the select retailers starting February 26, 2017.

HP EliteBook x360

Along with the Spectre x360, HP has also refreshed the EliteBook x360. The new model is claimed to be world’s thinnest business convertible and HP also claims that it can offer a pretty impressive battery life of 16 hours and 30 minutes in a single charge. The notebook comes with a 13.3-inch UWVA touch display with an option of resolution ranging from Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) to (3840 x 2160 pixels) coupled with protection. On the inside, seventh-generation Intel Core processors (Core i5-7200U, Core i5-7300U, and Core i7-7600U) paired with up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM, Intel HD Graphics 620 and storage options which ranging from 128 GB M.2 SSD to 360 GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD. We get Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, an option of NFC, one USB Type-C port with Thunderbolt, two USB 3.1 ports, one HDMI 1.4 port, a Micro-SIM card slot, microSD card reader, and a headphone/ microphone combo jack for connectivity. For security, it also boasts a fingerprint sensor and an camera which also supports Windows Hello authentication. As for the price, nothing was quoted by the company at the time of announcement, however, the business convertible is expected to hit the US market by the end of this month

HP Sprout Pro

HP’s Sprout Pro is company’s lineup for immersive all-in-one PC ideal for commercial use. The revamped new model of the HP Sprout Pro comes with a 20-point 23.8-inch full HD curved display coupled with a stylus enabled 21.3-inch bottom display. On the inside, the AIO PC comes with seventh-generation Intel Core i7-7700T processor with Intel HD Graphics 630 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M (2GB GDDR5 video memory) combined with 16GB of DDR4 RAM with storage options of 1TB SSHD or a 512GB SATA SSD. There is Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.0, one headphone/ microphone jack combo, one SD card slot, four USB 3.0 ports, one HDMI 2.0 port, one Gigabit Ethernet port, and one audio line-out as connectivity options. It also comes with a 14.6 HP High-resolution camera coupled with a 2-megapixel webcam.

Running on Windows 10 Pro, the AIO PC also comes with a 2D and 3D scanner along with Active Pen which works on the 21.3-inch bottom display. Both the price and availability about this device will out by March 2017, as claimed by HP

Lastly, the company also unveiled a new 35-inch ultra-wide curved QHD (3440 x 1440) anti-glare backlit display. As per HP, this display can offer brightness up to 300 nits and also come with 100 percent sRGB colour gamut. Not only this, HP claims that it can deliver a response time of 4ms along with a refresh rate of 60 from DisplayPort and of 50 Hz from HDMI 1.4. For the durability, HP claims that the backlight lamp can last up to 30,000 hours. The Omen X 35 Curved Display is priced at $1299.99 and will be available for purchase from March 2017.
