Asus has unveiled its next-gen lineup of gaming gear for its Republic of Gamers (ROG) at CES 2017. The 2017 gaming gear lineup includes the GX800VH, G701, G752, GL502, GL702, GL553 and GL753 gaming laptops, and GT51CH, GD30, G20CI and GR8 II gaming desktops.
Apart from this, the company has launched different gaming peripherals, including the ROG Strix Magnus gaming microphone, ROG Gladius II gaming mouse, ROG Strix Evolve gaming mouse, ROG Strix Impact gaming mouse, and ASUS GX970 gaming mouse.
Gaming laptops
ROG’s 2017 gaming notebooks including GX800VH, G701, G752, GL502, GL702, GL553 and GL753 comes loaded with the Intel 7th Generation (‘Kaby Lake’) chipset.
GX800VH laptop comes with latest Intel Processor coupled with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 in 2-way SLI graphics card for an immersive gaming experience. The notebook comes with an 18-inch panel with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology for real 4K UHD gaming visuals. The device comes with mechanical switch keyboard which comes with 30-key rollover, and customizable ROG Aura RGB LED effects for each key.
G752 is VR-ready with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 GPU. The laptop comes with DDR4 DRAM is overclocked to run at 2800MHz. It also offers HyperDrive RAID 0 and the latest NVM Express (NVMe) and PCI Express (PCIe) technologies for a fast storage speeds. The device comes with company’s in-house 3D Vapor Chamber for cooling mechanism and comes with a backlit anti-ghosting keyboard with 30-key rollover.
On the other hand, the G701 comes with a new premium Bio-Armor design and the new ROG Armor Titanium with Plasma Copper colour scheme. The device runs on latest Intel Core i7 processor coupled with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPU. G701 boasts overclocked DDR4 DRAM at 2800MHz, HyperDrive RAID 0 and NVMe and PCIe technologies for blazing-fast storage speeds, and a 120Hz panel with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology.
GL502 and GL702 can be considered as a more compact and potent gaming laptops with up to Intel 7th Generation processors, VR-ready NVIDIA GeForce GTX1070/1060 GPUs, 120Hz NVIDIA G-SYNC panels, and backlit anti-ghosting keyboards with 30-key rollover. Both laptops are available in the ROG Mist Black with Neon Orange and ROG Armor Titanium with Plasma Copper colour schemes. While the GL553 and GL753 come with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti/1050 graphics coupled with Cooling Overboost feature that offers flexible fan speeds for custom control and better system stability.
Gaming desktops
The company has also added new members to its gaming desktop PCs during the world largest tech show as well. Starting with Asus GT51CH, the PC comes 4.8GHz Intel Core i7-7700K processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 2-way SLI graphics, and 64GB of fast DDR4 2800MHz memory, III three-way overclocking technology for a faster gaming experience.
GR8 II is touted as the smallest gaming PC built for VR and comes with customised NVIDIA GeForce 1060 GPU, 7th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, and 32GB DDR4 memory. The PC is housed in a tiny four-liter chassis and includes Aura Sync with RGB light shows that can be synchronised with a variety of ROG peripherals, and with 10 different effects. The PC comes with two VR-friendly HDMI ports which enable connection of both a VR headset and a gaming display. ROG GR8 II has a specially-tuned cooling system with an optimised airflow design, copper heat pipes and dual fans to purge heat from the system. GR8 II also comes with renowned audio performance with ROG SupremeFX, Sonic Studio III, and Sonic Radar III.
The company has also launched Asus ROG GT51CH gaming PC with ESS SABRE headphone, a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and amplifier that delivers 32-bit/384kHz output for the immersive sound experience. Other than this, the company has announced Asus GT51CH, G20CI a small-form-factor (SFF) gaming PC, ROG G20CI and GD30 PCs.
Gaming router
The company has introduced a new router known as ROG Rapture GT-AC5300, specifically for gaming. The router features tri-band WiFi, eight-port gigabit-LAN, and a 1.8GHz quad-core CPU to enable incredibly fast and responsive network gaming. The device comes with two USB 3.0 ports.
Gaming peripherals
The company has launched different gaming accessories as well which include ROG Strix Magnus Headphone with environmental noise cancellation (ENC) and customizable Aura RGB lighting effects, ROG Gladius II optical gaming mouse optimized for FPS games, ROG Strix mouse with changeable-shape design and Aura Sync RGB lighting and GX970 wired gaming mouse which comes a detachable side panel for optimized button layouts in different gaming scenarios.
