Canon PowerShot G1X Mark III camera with dual pixel autofocus announced

Canon has recently launched its portable shooter camera Powershot G1X Mark III, a new addition in the Canon G-series. The camera comes with a price tag of $1,299 (approx. Rs 84,506) andfeatures a 24.3-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor along with the DIGIC 7 processor.It allows the camera to perform quickly and shoot up to 7.0 frames per second (up to 9.0 with One-Shot AF). Further, the 1080p Full videos are recorded at 60fps with stereo sound in convenient MP4 format.

The G1X Mark III comes with a Dual CMOS AF system, to offer fast and precise that will stay locked on the subject, even if your subject is in motion, for both photos and videos. The camera automatically detects skin tones and prioritises focus on human subjects within the frame. The camera has an ISO range of ISO 100-25600. The device comes with a 3.0-inch vari-angle touchscreen display with approx. 1.04 million dots resolution.

On the connectivity front, the DSLR offers WiFi and through which users can transfer images and videos from the camera to the smart devices. Then there is Canon Camera Connect app, which allows users to have real-time control of camera settings such as shutter speed, focus selection and self-timer and more.

The PowerShot G1 X Mark III camera is dustand water-resistant. Further, the camera is compatible with an optional waterproof case and lens hood. Its Waterproof Case WP-DC56 enables full operation down to 135 ft./40m underwater. Out of the water, the PowerShot G1 X Mark III can use the Lens Hood LH-DC110 to help control ghosting and flare that can occur in bright sunlight, and help guard against scratches and smudges on the lens surface.
