Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced a cashback offer for its wireline, Broadband and FTTH customers.
The company has revealed customers can avail cashback of 6 paise once they make a call. As part of the offer, users have to make calls of 5 minutes or more to get 6 paise cashback. The company says that the offer is valid for all of its users of wireline, broadband and FTTH.
“We want our customers to engage more with our upgraded Next Generation Network, experience the quality of voice call which happens on wireline , and also get incentivized for same,” said Shri Vivek Banzal, Director CFA, BSNL, in a statement.
With this, the company is taking a jibe on Reliance Jio. The telecom operator recently announced that it will charge six paise per minute to subscribers making calls to other mobile network. The company has said that this will not affect calls to landline phones or incoming calls. To compensate for the chargeable calls, Jio will be offering free data of equivalent value with top-up vouchers.
Meanwhile, BSNL introduced Rs 108 prepaid plan for its customers. The BSNL Rs 108 plan offers unlimited voice calling and 1GB data per day post which the speeds will be reduced to 80 Kbps. The calling comes with a capping of 250 minutes daily after which users will be charged as per base tariff.
