State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has revised its prepaid plan of Rs 1,098. The plan now comes with reduced validity and a data limit.
The revised BSNL Rs 1,098 plan now comes with 75 days of validity. Earlier the same plan was offering validity of 84 days. Also, the plan now comes with 375GB data for the entire validity of 75 days. After the 375GB data limit, BSNL users can enjoy data at 40 Kbps. Earlier, the BSNL prepaid plan used to ship with truly unlimited voice calling without any FUP limit. The company recentlystripped truly unlimited calls from its prepaid plans bringing a daily capping on calls.
As per the report of TelecomTalk, the Rs 1098 plan also offers unlimited voice calling even to Mumbai and Delhi circles, and 100 SMSes per day for 75 days. Earlier, the plan was offering unlimited data and unlimited calling with 84-day validity.
Meanwhile, BSNL has recently launched Rs 1,199 family plan with broadband, mobile benefits. The operator is now hosting a dedicatedwebpage on its portal for its “BBG Combo ULD Family 1199” plan. The BBG Combo ULD Family 1199 plan will be available for a monthly rental of Rs 1,199 and will offer unlimited data but comes with a monthly data cap of 30GB with speeds of up to 10 Mbps. Beyond the 30GB limit, the download speeds will be reduced to 2 Mbps.
Previously, BSNL revised its long-term prepaid plan of Rs 1,699 with 455 days of validity, 2GB data per day, unlimited local, STD and roaming calling and 100 SMS daily. Thisplan also qualifies for the Bumper Offer which offers 2.2GB of additional data per day. So the subscribers of this plan will get total data benefit of 4.2GB of data per day.
