BSNL now offers Data Carry Forward facility with its Postpaid plan

BSNL has started offering data carry forward facility to its postpaid users but there is a catch.

State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is now the fourth largest telecom service provider in India with a subscriber base of over 110 million. The telco is now offering data carry forward option to its postpaid users.

According to a report by TelecomTalk, after witnessing a huge demand from its user base, BSNL has started offering data carry forward facility to its postpaid users but there is a catch. The company has revised the Rs 525 in Kolkata telecom circle, where it is offering 80GB data along with the ability to carry forward data up to 200GB to the next billing cycle. The carry forward facility is currently available with the Rs 525 postpaid plan in Kolkata circle only.

Currently, BSNL is offering the Rs 525 postpaid plan across all the circles, but has rolled carry forward data facility it for its users in Kolkata only. The plan now offers its users 80GB of 2G/3G data along with data carry forward option of up to 200GB.

Apart from data, the telco is offering unlimited voice calls to any network within India and the calls will not be charged to numbers even in Mumbai and Delhi circles. Also, this plan also comes with 100 per day benefit, and to send an international SMS, users will be charged Rs 5 per SMS by BSNL.

For the security deposit, users will be charged Rs 500 for local+STD services, Rs 2,000 for local+STD+ISD services and Rs 5,000 for local+STD+ISD+International services. After the 80GB monthly data limit is exhausted, users will be charged at 40 Kbps. For an unlimited data plan without any speed restriction, BSNL has the Rs 1,525 postpaid plan for its customers. Postpaid users also get the free subscription to Amazon Prime for a year with this plan.
